Almost There: Tampa Bay On Cusp of CQ Triumph After 8-4 Win

Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Dan Weiss, the Tampa Bay Thunder got a road win against the New York City Blues, 8-4, in Game 4 of the Cup Qualifier. Weiss hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Thunder, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mike Greene? The Tampa Bay designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder on top, 2-0. For the game, Greene had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Weiss, "one at-bat at a time."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Blues Field in New York.
