Shamrocks Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win

The Tampa Bay Thunder got a sterling performance from pitcher Dave Miller, but the Boston Shamrocks still prevailed, 4-3. Miller threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Chris Phillips, the 5th overall pick in the 2006 draft, was the winner. He's now 3-7. The loser was Mike Meloche. Luke Dickerson notched his 14th save in 15 chances.
Boston took a 4-2 lead on Josh Olson's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Olson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Tampa Bay pitcher Mike Meloche visibly frustrated.
Olson attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
The Shamrocks raised their record to 29-52.
