Keystones Get Clutch Win Versus Tampa Bay
|
The Tampa Bay Thunder could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ron Ingram into a win. Instead, the Philadelphia Keystones prevailed, 2-1. Ingram threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Jeff Nesbitt earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record is now 7-5. Philadelphia is 7th in the Eastern Circuit with a record of 33-46.
Matt Lopresti, who finished 5th in the EC in wins above replacement with 3.8 in 2005, helped out the Philadelphia cause in the top of the eighth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4 with a home run.
Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson praised his team's "energy."
