Knights Walk It Off for 33rd Win of Season
Los Angeles pinch hitter Edwin Smit helped his team beat the St. Louis Lions, 7-4. Smit went 1 for 1 for the Knights. The winner in relief was Andres Quintana. He is now 6-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Los Angeles has a record of 33-45, placing them 5th in the Western Circuit.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Los Angeles trailing 4-3, Smit jumped on a fastball from 33-year old left-handed pitcher Brent Farwell and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Knights had a walk-off win.

"I know we have our doubters," said St. Louis manager Leo Cruz. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
