Thunder Reel Off Another Win
The Thunder Bowl was the site of a tense game between the Philadelphia Keystones and Tampa Bay Thunder.

The Tampa Bay Thunder used a great performance from Dave Miller, who finished 5th in the EC in ERA with 3.05 last year, to beat the Philadelphia Keystones, 2-1, at The Thunder Bowl. The winner was Miller. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Francisco Chavez. Mike Meloche notched his 22nd save in 24 chances.

In the bottom of the sixth, Tampa Bay left fielder Kengo Miyake gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Fivespot hit his 9th home run of the year. Philadelphia pitcher Francisco Chavez surrendered it. With that, the Thunder jumped in front, 2-1.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Tampa Bay manager Dick Granade.

Tampa Bay now has a record of 50-27 with the win.
