Keystones Deal Shamrocks 2-1 Defeat

The Philadelphia Keystones earned a close win over the Boston Shamrocks, thanks in part to Zack Doyle. The Philadelphia left-hander, who is a four-time All-Star, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. In 7.1 innings, Doyle surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Nate Hanson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Pat Sciocchetti? The slick-fielding third baseman Sciocchetti stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Philadelphia up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
