Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Las Vegas Aces and Salt Lake City Coyotes.

The Las Vegas Aces downed the Salt Lake City Coyotes, 5-4, at Las Vegas Stadium. The Aces were led by Chris Martinez. Martinez went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ryan Hunter picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Manny Ramirez was tagged with the loss.

The Aces were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old catcher Ricky Rodriguez landed a big blow. He turned a 2-2 slider from Manny Ramirez into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Las Vegas Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Aces home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Salt Lake City manager Lex Clark.

Las Vegas now sports a record of 26-44.
