The Boston Shamrocks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Etienne Larini. The right-hander kept the Salt Lake City offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-2 Boston victory at Shamrock Grounds. Larini, now 3-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Boston has now won 4 straight.

The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from shortstop Zachary Bailey. For the game, Bailey went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Boston a 3-2 lead.

"Etienne can overpower you," said Boston manager Art Matlock.
