Park Hits 2 home runs in Blackhawks Win
The Atlanta Pilots opened their 2007 season with a disappointing 13-5 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks at The Hangar. Left Fielder Howie Park was a big part of the win for Chicago. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice. Robin Ollson, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Pilots to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 5.

With Chicago leading 8-4 in the top of the eighth, Park batted against Atlanta pitcher Victor Zapata. Park hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Blackhawks on top, 12-4.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Park told the Chicago Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
