The Mexico City Aztecas downed the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 6-5, in 10 innings at Estadio Azteca. The Aztecas were led by Vitaliano Brancati. Brancati went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. Mexico City reliever Luis Galdamez snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Mario Estrada shouldered the loss. Their 31-32 record puts the Aztecas 6th in the West Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Brancati hit a sinker from Mario Estrada for a solo home run. The Aztecas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Brancati said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
