In a low-scoring tilt between the Albany Senators and the Southern California Empires, Andy Taylor, who led the SPBC in strikeouts with 174 last year, was the difference-maker. The Albany right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Danny Contreras closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Albany has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

Rick Anderson helped out the Albany cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Albany manager Luke Garwood.
