Steelheads third baseman Sam Moreland left his mark on his team's 6-2 win over the Ottawa Capitals. Moreland, who is on pace for 67 RBI this season, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Vacaville in the contest. The Steelheads have an impressive 36-18 record.

Vacaville took a 6-2 lead on Moreland's 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Markus Niemikorpi in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Vacaville to the win.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Moreland told a Vacaville Daily reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
