Yang Shines in 7-1 Detroit Win
|
Led by Ye-qing Yang, the Detroit Chargers defeated the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 7-1. Yang went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Chargers. Detroit, at 21-31, sits in 5th place in the East Division.
In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, Yang came to the plate. He hit a run-scoring single off Dan Turner to put the Chargers in the lead, 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Yang said.
