The Detroit Chargers and Vacaville Steelheads needed extra innings at Ballpark of Vacaville to determine a winner.

Detroit beat Vacaville at Ballpark of Vacaville, escaping with a 6-5 win in 11 innings. The win in large part was due to third baseman Ye-qing Yang. He went 5 for 6 with 5 singles. Justin Martin earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 2-4.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Yang delivered big-time for Detroit, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Josh Bartell. The game-changing hit put the Chargers on top, 6-5.

"It was terrific getting this win," Yang said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

Detroit bumps their record to 19-28 with the win.
