Drillers Use Late Score to Top Braves, 2-1
|
The Edmonton Drillers cut down the Green Bay Braves by the score of 2-1, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Dan Seagraves. Seagraves threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball for the Drillers. The loss makes Green Bay 16-29.
Jared Herrick was the walk-off hero for Edmonton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Drillers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Herrick told the Edmonton Observer.
