In a low-scoring contest between the Mexico City Aztecas and the Newark Eagles, Nick Wilder, who is tied for 4th in the SPBC in wins with 4, proved to be the difference. The Mexico City right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Aztecas win. Earning his 6th save of the year was Luis Galdamez. The Aztecas, now 14-16, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.

Wilder, now 4-1, scattered 2 hits over 8.1 innings for the Aztecas.

"Nick executed his pitches at a high level," said Mexico City manager Zack Englund.
