The Newark Eagles defeated the Quebec City Admirals, 10-4, at Eagles Park. Newark was led by 2006 SPBC batting champion Jon Cordova, who was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. With the win, the Eagles have a record of 17-5.

In the bottom of the second, Cordova had a grand slam home run for Newark. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Eagles on top, 6-2.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Cordova, "one at-bat at a time."
