Edmonton shortstop Bobby Pennington made his presence felt in the 8-2 Drillers triumph over the Southern California Empires. Pennington was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs. Dan Seagraves picked up the win with 8.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 10. On the season, he is now 2-2. Edmonton now sports a record of 8-13.
Pennington had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Drillers went on to win.
