Fleetwings Win Squeaker, 2-1, Over Chargers
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Allentown Fleetwings and the Detroit Chargers. Allentown won it, 2-1. Allentown starter Steve Post was in command. The Fleetwings win now puts them at 9-10.
The Fleetwings got a big at-bat from first baseman Ryan Rogers. For the game, Rogers went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Allentown a 1-0 lead.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Detroit manager Carlos Ventura.
