Eagles Keep Streak Alive With 3-2 Win
The Newark Eagles earned a close win over the Allentown Fleetwings, thanks in part to Jason Schiavo. The Newark right-hander, who leads the SPBC in innings pitched with 33.2, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Schiavo got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Newark, now 12-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Juan Moctezuma had a direct impact on the outcome. Moctezuma contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Newark up, 3-2.

"Jason was dictating to their hitters," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
