Allentown got a big-time effort from pitcher Scott Daniels, but it wasn't enough to keep the Albany Senators from winning the game, 3-2. Daniels threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The Senators have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 16th for Albany. That's when 33-year old third baseman Jonathan Nieto hit a run-scoring double off Charles Leyshon to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Tough loss," said Allentown manager Craig McCain. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
