Eagles Run Win Streak to 9

The Newark Eagles extended their winning streak.
A 3-RBI performance from catcher Emmanuel Thomas led the Newark Eagles to a win over the Detroit Chargers, 4-2. Newark pitcher David Waggoner got the win. He's now 2-0. Chad Hunt was tagged with the loss. Oscar Loza earned the save for Newark, his 4th of the year.
Thomas had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Chad Hunt, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Eagles a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Thomas.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
The Eagles, now 10-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
