Rollers Suffer 4-2 Road Loss
|
Taylor Nahrgang was instrumental in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Las Vegas Rollers. The designated hitter went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Saskatoon Moose. Dave Murray earned the win to go to 1-2. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 7 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Kevin Crawford got credit for the save for Saskatoon. It was his 2nd of the year.
Nahrgang had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Asa Kellogg, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Moose a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Nahrgang.
In postgame comments to the Saskatoon Today, Nahrgang said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
Las Vegas falls to 4-5.
