Though the conditions were not ideal, the Calgary Caracals and Winnipeg Buffaloes came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

A good performance from designated hitter Cody Moroney helped the Calgary Caracals defeat the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 4-3. Moroney went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Caracals. Tristan Parker got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. Kasey Felton picked up the save for Calgary, his 1st of the year.

With Calgary trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Moroney hit a fastball from Ben Lanahan for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Caracals ahead, 3-2.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Moroney told the Calgary Daily.

Winnipeg falls to 3-4.
