Fleetwings Win at Hamilton, 8-5
|
With left fielder Arthur Hubley leading the charge, the Allentown Fleetwings defeated the Hamilton Tigers, 8-5, at Hamilton Park. Hubley went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Reliever Danny Teague picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jon MacMillan took the loss. The win puts Allentown at 3-2.
Allentown used a timely hit from Sean Nicholson to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fleetwings ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Hubley told the Allentown Citizen.
