Aces Pick Up 5-1 Win Against New York City
The Las Vegas Aces earned a win at Las Vegas Stadium, stopping the New York City Blues, 5-1. Starting pitcher Javier Aguilar played a big role in his team's success. The winner was Aguilar. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Keith Higdon. With the win, the Aces are 14-26.

Mark Buchholz had a big solo home run for the Aces in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Las Vegas leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from Keith Higdon, who is tied for 8th in the EC in quality starts with 6, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 3-1.
