Goyer Electric in 3-0 Win
|
Christian Goyer kept the Tampa Bay Thunder hitters from doing much damage at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark.
Tampa Bay could only muster 3 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Goyer, who controlled them throughout the game. Dallas won the contest, 3-0. Goyer added 14 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Goyer told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
Thus far this season, Goyer has tossed 59.1 innings in 8 starts, fanned 68 batters, walked 22 and put up a 2.58 ERA with 3 wins and 3 losses.
