Keystones Suffer 2-1 Home Defeat
|
Philadelphia got a valiant performance from pitcher Zack Doyle, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tampa Bay Thunder. Tampa Bay won the game, 2-1. Doyle threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. The win was credited to 27-year old right-handed pitcher John Stuart in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Zack Doyle took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Thunder.
Ryan Horrocks, who is tied for 4th in the EC in RBI with 16, had a direct impact on the outcome. Horrocks contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Tampa Bay up, 2-0.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Horrocks told the Tampa Bay Bulletin.
