Shamrocks Suffer One-Run Loss at Philadelphia
|
The Philadelphia Keystones handed the Boston Shamrocks a loss at Keystones Stadium. The final score was 5-4. Alex Cosme was one of the major contributors for Philadelphia. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Shamrocks fall to 5-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Cosme had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch circle change from Eric Kolbe, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Keystones a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Cosme.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Boston manager Art Matlock said, following the tough loss.
