The Los Angeles Knights ushered in the 2007 season with a win versus the Las Vegas Aces at Camelot. The final score was 4-3. Starting Pitcher Jay Williams, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2004, had a standout performance. Los Angeles reliever Andres Quintana picked up the win to move to 1-0. Jason Davis suffered the loss.
Los Angeles took a 4-3 lead on Todd Parnell's 1st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Parnell hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher Jason Davis visibly frustrated.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Parnell told a Los Angeles Chronicle reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
