Purcell Ends Speculation, Will Retire Wednesday, August 23rd , 2006 At a brief press conference this afternoon, Franklin reliever Pat Purcell announced his retirement from baseball. Since he broke in, Purcell has picked up 20 wins, 13 losses and 3 saves. He has posted a 4.34 ERA and recorded 191 strikeouts in 282 innings. |
