Albuquerque's Elliott ABC #1 Batter in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2006 For a rookie just breaking in, Sam Elliott certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ABC Batter of the Month award for July. The 26-year-old center fielder for the Albuquerque Coyotes hit .447 with 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored. This season, Elliott has banged out 45 hits in 143 at-bats for a .315 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .421 pace and his totals also include 37 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
