Hit Parade: Thompson Pops 5 Hits Monday, July 3rd , 2006 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Tulsa's Matt Thompson made it happen against the Gnomes. Everything came together at the plate for the 30-year-old third baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Twisters triumph, 16-3, at Yuma Grounds. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Thompson said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Matt Thompson hit a solo-shot off David Nunez in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
