ABC Pitcher of the Year Award Announced Sunday, October 22nd , 2006 An old hand in this game, Brian Garretson of the Long Beach Titans silenced critics as well as he silenced the opposition this year by winning the Amateur Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award. The 35-year-old starter threw 90.1 innings, notched 92 strikeouts and put up a 11-1 record to claim the coveted award. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 16. Allan Sampson of the Albuquerque Coyotes finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Adam Lucas of the Providence Grays finished third.
