Colin Beck of the Providence Grays said he never set out to win the Amateur Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award this season, but he'll certainly take it.

"2006 was a pretty good year for me, that much is obvious," he said. "This is icing on the cake."

The 25-year-old out of Parlin, New Jersey fashioned a 2.59 ERA this season over 73 innings of work. He made 18 relief appearances and had 6 saves, 97 strikeouts, 38 walks and a record of 5 wins and 2 losses.

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 16. Tony Saenz of the Manhattan Liberty finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Jason White of the Houston Apollos finished third.
