Best ABC Reliever Named Thursday, October 19th , 2006 Colin Beck of the Providence Grays said he never set out to win the Amateur Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award this season, but he'll certainly take it.
"2006 was a pretty good year for me, that much is obvious," he said. "This is icing on the cake."
The 25-year-old out of Parlin, New Jersey fashioned a 2.59 ERA this season over 73 innings of work. He made 18 relief appearances and had 6 saves, 97 strikeouts, 38 walks and a record of 5 wins and 2 losses.
