Houston Eliminated from Playoff Contention Friday, September 29th , 2006 It "never gets easier" to have a playoff push come to an end, according to first baseman George Dyar of the Houston Apollos. The Houston player said his club was banking on being able to push themselves into the postseason, but they are now mathematically eliminated. This is the 3rd time in a row that the Apollos have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2003. |
