3-HR Binge for St. Vincent Against Manchester Tuesday, September 26th , 2006 Oil City Oilers left fielder Glenn St. Vincent had a magnificent game against the Manchester Monarchs, rocketing three balls out of The Oil Field to help the Oilers win, 5-3. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, St. Vincent went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Oil City manager Randy Grant said later. "Seems like Glenn found his home run stroke today." Glenn St. Vincent struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Cardenas in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Cardenas in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Fernando Flores in the 10th. This year, St. Vincent is hitting at a .313 pace with 22 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 59 games and scored 52 times. |
