Santillanes Bangs 3 HR Against Tulsa Sunday, September 17th , 2006 Whatever Trevor Santillanes ate for breakfast before his game against the Tulsa Twisters, it gave him some impressive power. The El Paso first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Tulsa Park. His home run barrage helped the Mavericks defeat the Twisters, 10-5. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-3, scored 4 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Trevor Santillanes was hit by a pitch in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brad Smith in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Brad Smith in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Herrera in the 6th and walked in the 8th. For the year, Santillanes has hit .269 with 23 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 55 runs. |
