St. Louis Welcomes Back Native Son, Parker
Tuesday, December 12th , 2006
With initial reports confirmed and the St. Louis Lions making it official, St. Louis will welcome back its native son, Tony Parker, this season.
The new addition to the team not only fills a needed role on the roster, but it also gives the fan base the chance to root for a local boy who made good.
Parker said on the return, "You dream of a chance to be doing what you love, where you learned to love it. I always hoped to be in a position where I could return to St. Louis and play for the team I grew up rooting for."
When pressed on the choice to take less money than was expected, Parker said, "If I went somewhere else I wouldn't have my mom's apple pies after tough losses. That's an incentive only one city could offer."
His grin afterward said it all, it's a win-win situation for both sides.
