Washington Star, Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Saturday, October 28th , 2006 The Washington Warriors have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Jon Lund, this year's Eastern Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Lund compiled a 14-3 record in 20 starts, tallied 145 strikeouts in 151.1 innings and recorded a 2.26 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .191 batting average against him. Aaron Sales of the New York City Blues finished second in voting, while John Hunter of the Washington Warriors finished third. |
