Top Player Named by Eastern Circuit Saturday, October 28th , 2006 Dustin Denmark has been around Professional Baseball Circuit enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2006 season, he's taking home the Hitter of the Year Award in the Eastern Circuit. The Boston first baseman put up a batting average of .314 with 13 doubles, no triples, 31 home runs and 72 RBIs. Howie Park of the Chicago Blackhawks finished second in voting, while James Queen of the Atlanta Pilots finished third. |
