Pilots Get Past Chicago for 6-5 Win
Atlanta beat Chicago at The Hangar, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Tony Gant. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. Chicago, with the loss, is 3-5.

The Pilots were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when two-time Great Glove Award winner Dave Kershner landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Isaiah Hoffman into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the The Hangar denizens into a frenzy and sent the Pilots home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Gant told a local reporter after the game.
