Gilmore Blasts Warriors, Cutthroats Take Game 4, 8-5
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Pro Circuit Cup, the Washington Warriors could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Denver Cutthroats emerged victorious, taking a 14-inning, 8-5 win. Denver left fielder Daniel Gilmore went 3-6 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 in the win at Warriors Park to drag the Cutthroats back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

The result might have been different, had it not been for slugging left fielder Ikuhiko Tsutsumi. Tsutsumi had a bases-clearing double in the top of the 14th inning to put the Cutthroats ahead, 8-5. For the game, Tsutsumi had 1 double and 2 singles in 3 at-bats.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Joe Peters said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Warriors Park in Washington.
