Peanuts Clip Lions, 3-2, in PS Contest

The San Francisco Peanuts and the St. Louis Lions will take the Play-in Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Peanuts beat the Lions, 3-2, at The Lions Hearth to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. San Francisco left-hander Edwin Quevedo had a big role in the win. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball.
Dan Stricklin, who finished 3rd in the EC in runs with 61 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Stricklin contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put San Francisco up, 2-1.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said San Francisco manager Larry Link.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
