Tyson Shackles San Francisco
|
Terry Tyson led the Denver Cutthroats to a shutout victory, 2-0, over the San Francisco Peanuts at Cutter's Cove.
"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Tyson recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."
Tyson yielded 4 hits and had 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance.
"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," San Francisco manager Larry Link said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."
This year, Tyson has compiled a 5-2 record with a 3.05 ERA.
