Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Shamrock Grounds.

The Chicago Blackhawks got a strong performance from pitcher Robin Ollson, who stymied the Boston offense en route to a win, 9-2, at Shamrock Grounds. Ollson, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 5 walks.

Greg Brandt had a big 2-run home run for the Blackhawks in the top of the fourth inning. With Chicago leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Sanchez and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Blackhawks on top, 5-2.

"Robin did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Chicago manager Seth Butynski.

The Blackhawks now have a record of 20-43.
