Win Streak Now at 6 for Blues
|
Atlanta first baseman James Queen had a good game, even if his team did not. The Pilots dropped a 6-4 decision to New York City at Blues Field. Queen was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Aaron Sales got credit for the win, improving to 10-2. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. The 4th-place Pilots dropped to 39-47.
In the bottom of the fifth, 35-year old first baseman Bryan Bassett hit a 2-run single to right. The single, which was hit off of Matt Ryder, gave New York City a 5-1 lead.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Bassett.
