Cutthroats Get Clutch Win Versus Boston
Denver starter Keith Higdon pitched well against the Boston Shamrocks at Cutter's Cove. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 11 innings. Denver pitcher Mike Green got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tim Burger got the loss. Denver, at 34-12, is 4 games up in the Western Circuit.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Denver shortstop Dan Kelly, facing Tim Burger, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cutthroats the 4-3 win.

"Keith was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Denver manager Joe Peters.
