The Philadelphia Keystones grabbed a win, 6-5, over the Las Vegas Aces at Keystones Stadium. Philadelphia designated hitter Mike Bowman was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. The winner in relief was Jose Garcia. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The win elevated the Keystones to 21-20.

Had Alphonse Chapa not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Chapa hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Keystones.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Chapa told the Philadelphia Daily.
