Mavericks Suffer 3-1 Home Defeat
|
In a well-pitched game between the Los Angeles Knights and the Houston Mavericks, pitcher Jack Murphy was superb. The Los Angeles left-hander helped his team win, 3-1. Phil Knobbe earned the save for Los Angeles, his 1st. Los Angeles, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
Edwin Smit had a direct impact on the outcome. Smit contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Los Angeles manager James Walker.
